The sateen finish actually has that cool, silky slide to it, not the papery stiffness I was bracing for. My old cotton cover always felt clammy by 2am, but this lyocell one stays smooth and neutral all night.

I run hot at night and this duvet cover actually keeps me from kicking the blankets off by 3am. The bamboo lyocell feels cool the moment I slide under it, and it's held up through several washes without pilling.
