My toddler grabbed the wooden tomato and tried to slice it with her play knife before I even unpacked the rest. She's already naming all five colors and pretending to cook them into soup, which is adorable. The pieces feel sturdy enough to survive a few years of kitchen chaos.
The colors are so vibrant they actually make me want to chop up the wooden broccoli for real, and the slicing action is satisfyingly smooth. My toddler has learned her greens by matching the pieces back into their tray, which feels like a win for both of us.
My kids fight over who gets to "cook" with the red tomato every single day. The fact that they actually slice apart and go back together makes cleanup simple, since nothing scatters around. The bright colors have made my picky eater suddenly interested in naming her veggies at dinner.
