Our watercolor pencils are a fun way to bridge the gap between coloring and painting. Use them like a regular colored pencil, then add water with a brush to create a transparent watercolor effect. Perfect for creative youngsters - no spills, no mess. Safe and enjoyable for everyone! Pair with our watercolor pad for even more artistic possibilities!
I've never been great at painting, but these pencils make the transition easy—color like normal, then just a wet brush turns it into that soft transparent wash. The six colors blend nicely without going muddy.
I grabbed these for my daughter's school project and ended up using them myself. Adding water with a brush turns the lines into this soft, transparent wash, and the pencils still sharpen like normal ones. Six colors is plenty for quick sketches.
I wasn't expecting much from a 6-pack, but the pigment is surprisingly rich before you even add water. Layering two colors and then brushing over them gives a soft, transparent wash that looks properly painted. My daughter has claimed them for her coloring book already.
